This Blog gives the clear information about ISTQB(International Software Testing Qualifications Board)
ISTQB Certification Exam would be conducted by ITB(Indian Testing Board). This Certificate is valid all over the world through out the life.
It has two levels.
1)Foundation Level
2)Advanced Level
Foundation Level
Foundation Level exam is written exam, Paper contains 40 questions, all are multiple choice questions and no negative marking for wrong answers, you will be given 90 minutes of time and passing percentage is 65% i.e., 26 marks to get through the exam.
Advanced Level
The Advance Level is aimed at experienced test professionals. This level shows that the person has detailed knowledge regarding testing and skills to apply this knowledge in practice. The requirements for this level are available through the detailed syllabus.
The prerequisites for applying for the exam are as follows:
* Clearing the Foundation Level exam of ISTQB* Two years of experience as a Software Tester
The exam has three sublevels:
- Technical Tester
- Functional Tester
- Test Manager
A single syllabus exists for all the three sublevels. There is an partioning File available which describes the partition of the Syllabus as per the sub-levels. There is an separate paper for each sub-level and each Paper is of 90 Minutes Duration. Sub-Levels can be taken up in any No. & in any order. An individual Certificate is granted on sucessful completion of each sub-level.
You will be informed of your result within two weeks and passing candidates will receive the certificate within eight weeks.
